Authorship, originality and disclosure
Read these requirements before creating an account or submitting a manuscript.
Authorship and affiliation
List only people who made a substantial scholarly contribution. Every author must have seen the final version, approved the author order and agreed to the submission. Use each author's current institutional affiliation. Changes to authorship after submission require a written explanation and approval from all originally listed authors.
Originality and related work
The manuscript must be original, properly cite reused text, data, figures and ideas, and respect copyright. It must not already be published or under review by another journal. Tell the editors about any preprint, conference version or closely related submission. Do not split one study into overlapping papers; explain how related work differs.
Conflicts of interest
Disclose financial, institutional and personal conflicts in the manuscript or cover letter. State explicitly when there are none.
Editorial review
Editors check scope, completeness, ethical declarations and presentation before independent review. A submission may be returned for missing information or formatting. Reviewer identities are not disclosed to authors. Editorial decisions are based on relevance, originality, sound reasoning and clarity.
